Use FirstAboard PDF with Claude
Connect once, then ask Claude to send documents out for signature. Claude reads the document, places the signature and date fields, shows you a preview, and only sends when you confirm.
Works with Claude Code today. Support for the Claude website and mobile app is on the way, it needs a different sign-in method that we are still building.
1. Get your licence key
Your licence key starts with FAPDF-. Open FirstAboard PDF and go to Settings, then Account - the Copy button there puts your key on your clipboard. It is also in your welcome email. Keep it handy for step 3.
2. Install Claude Code
Claude Code is the version of Claude that can use FirstAboard PDF today. Download it from claude.com/claude-code and sign in with your Claude account (it is included with Claude Pro and Max plans).
3. Connect FirstAboard PDF
Paste the command below into a TERMINAL window (such as PowerShell), swap YOUR-LICENCE-KEY for your real key, and press Enter. Then restart Claude Code. You only do this once.
Do not paste this into the Claude chat window
It starts with the word "claude", but it is a terminal command. Typing it into a chat would put your licence key into the conversation. If that ever happens, treat the key as compromised and email support@firstaboard.com to have it replaced.

Then just say something like "send this PDF for signing to Alice (alice@email.com) and Bob (bob@email.com)". Claude will give you a one-time link to upload the PDF, show you a preview of where each signature goes, and send once you say yes.
You are always in control
- You see a picture preview of exactly where each signature and date will sit before anything is sent.
- Nothing is emailed until you confirm. Once a document is sent, it cannot be recalled.
- Always let Claude ask before it sends. Do not set the send step to "always allow" - a person should approve every send.
- Your licence key stays in your own Claude Code settings on your computer.
- Treat your licence key like a password. Anyone who has it can see your list of signature requests and reach your billing. If you ever paste it into a chat, an email, or a screenshot, assume it is compromised and email support@firstaboard.com to have it replaced.
